School safety drill upsets some parents
Associated Press
"Officers wore protective gear, including vests and helmets, and carried rifles that were unloaded and marked with colored tape to indicate they were not live weapons, the newspaper said."
It's important that you know that all the parents were not upset by it in case you're not. Anyway, they obviously need to have classes in small arms in Michigan public schools.

Not that they already know that, but the Times doesn't want to say "not fit" for Maine TV news. But because some capitalists are too greedy, and their media lackeys too stupid to live, do we all have to go down to destruction? Which of the following go in the same category with killer bees?
Ozone layer
Persistant Organic Pollutants
World War IV
Endocrine disrupters
Mass extinction
Deforestation
Global depression
Desertification
Pandemic
Peak oil
Pesticides

Don't bother. Although the phrase "al-Qaida members" is repeated several times, there is no evidence of any membership in anything, either real or CIA fantasy.

If we cant win Ill pull us out
National Review
This shocking quote is nowhere in the article. Instead we have the Bushism: "'I share the same frustration you share.'"
Followed by the half wit "conservative" opinion that
"Most of all, though, Bush said he realizes that the American people share that frustration, too. 'People, most of them, are out there saying, "What are you doing? Get after 'em,'" Bush said.'
Is that what "the American people are out there saying?" or is it just this blast from the LBJ Vietnam war past:
"I'm from Texas," Bush continued. "My buddies are saying, are you doing enough, not are you doing too little. They want to know, are we winning. They want to know, this mighty country, are we doing what it takes to win?"

Chicago voter database hacked
ABC News
After noticing for the first time that there are "concerns about the integrity of the vote" two weeks before election day, ABC sets up a hacker attack back story in case they get caught losing their exit polls again.

"...while ignoring biggest explosives find in British history"
The UK like the US does not prosecute fascist white supremacist or Christophrenic militancy, including real bomb making, real anthrax attacks on clinics, real training camps with real weapons. Like the Mexican border 'militias,' right wing terrorists are to be incubated and coopted.
"Rocket launcher found at dentist?s house
Globe and Mail
Published on 06/10/2006
A RETIRED Grange dentist is accused of being part of a bomb plot after a record number of explosives were seized in a Lancashire town. David Bolais Jackson, 62, of Trent Road, Nelson, was arrested on Friday in the Lancaster area after leaving his Grange practice for the last time. Jackson was charged with being in possession of an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose. However, it is unclear who or what the intended target might have been. Police found rocket launchers, chemicals, British National Party literature and a nuclear or biological suit at his home. The find came shortly after they had recovered 22 chemical components from the house of his alleged accomplice, Robert Cottage, a former BNP election candidate, who lives in Colne. The haul is thought to be the largest ever found at a house in this country."
