Notice that there is a bright convex lump on the lower right and a dark concave bowl on the upper left. Here they're lined up side by side, but often the curve around each other like a yin yang symbol. This form emphasizes that galaxies are formed from singularities which mimic the unification of light and dark energy at the big bang.
